  I believe what you said made a lot of sense. But, what about this? what if you added a little content? I am not saying your content isn't good, but what if you added a post title that makes people desire more? I mean %BLOG_TITLE% is kinda vanilla. You should look at Yahoo's home page and see how they write article titles to get people interested. You might add a related video or a picture or two to grab people interested about everything've written. In my opinion, it would bring your posts a little livelier.
